Research Projects
First Initiative; Research Paper
We conducted a comprehensive study to explore the awareness and attitudes towards chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs). Our research involved a survey of 40 respondents from various backgrounds, providing valuable insights into current perceptions and the gaps in knowledge surrounding these critical health issues.
This research aimed to emphasize the importance of early prevention and intervention in managing chronic diseases. We aimed to understand our community's awareness level and identify areas where increased education and advocacy could make a significant difference. Our findings highlighted the need for more accessible information and proactive health measures, especially among younger populations.

Second Initiative; Empowering Youth to Thrive
Empowering Youth to Thrive is an initiative that addresses chronic disease prevention through education and community outreach. Focused on youth in Brampton, Ontario, the program emphasizes lifestyle changes, such as better diet, physical activity, and awareness of environmental factors like air pollution. Peer-led workshops and interactive activities aim to engage students and community members, empowering them to adopt healthier habits and improve long-term health outcomes. This approach integrates cultural sensitivity and offers accessible preventive services, making health education relatable and effective for diverse communities.
